I'm a high school English teacher with a huge passion for reading! Also I vlog about books on my YouTube channel called StarzsBooks.
3.5 actually. I didn't feel the novel needed to be in diary format because it read so much like an actual story. But I fell in love with the characters and the message. This book celebrates life in its ugliest most raw form. It teaches you to love yourself. I like that a lot.
I loved it. Absolutely amazing. It's been a long time since I've read a book that was so good I had to stay up all night to finish it. This book is about zombies but it celebrates life. How awesome is that?
Pretty good. Intriguing. I like when secrets are introduced in the first volume. It keeps me wanting to read more :)
Too many lagging parts. I wanted so much more action!!! I have a feeling the third installment will give me what I want!
Actually a 3.5. The tone of this book was just too bland for me. But it was a wonderful story. I enjoyed all of the video game references. I now have a sudden urge to play Mario Brothers or something...
Throughout the novel I felt as though I were reading a tennis match. Day and June were so confused with their feelings and they were confused about who was trustworthy. This frustrated me. But that ending. That ending stole my heart. Eagerly awaiting the next and last installment of the Legend Trilogy. FIVE starts all the way.
The second half of this book is purely insane O_O So glad I refused to let this one slip through my fingers.
I read somewhere that Hugo writes like a cuddly old grandfather that goes on tangents while he tells his stories. I agree wholeheartedly. The story is beautiful. The characters were beautiful. And I learned a TON about French society and politics. What more could a reader ask for?
